3D Printing

Image
As far as 3D printing goes, I had little idea of how it works and what technology is used to make a legitimate object from a picture. The class was small but I liked the size, it gave me more actual interest in the process. The more hands on the class got, the more interested I was about the functioning of 3D printing and seeing the process thanks to the new technology in the library, I was able to see it and actually be given the opportunity to use it on my free time.  The process might be longer than thought, but I think taking an object out of a picture and recreating it physically is genius. With photography, design, a printing machine, the new apps even, technology keeps getting better. The app Professor Friebele showed, isense I think it is? This app was really cool and I actually downloaded it last night to try it out. The face scanner was awesome too. It gave me a thought of giving my friends busts or bobble heads of me for Christmas or something haha! All together, great cla

Visual Analysis

"You are born model, you do not become so." For this quote, I grabbed multiple pieces of modern art for every 3 years since 1998; the year I was born. The medium for this piece is a painting while the technique is made up of photoshop, paint and ink used to form an overall piece that captures the quote provided. The composition was symmetrical and repetitive throughout the work. Lines were used throughout this as well, including implied lines. There are circular, rectangular and geometric shapes, and the value in contrasting. The color scheme is more so compound than others, using radiants of blue, orange, and yellow including neutrals and blacks. the texture is mostly smooth with a hint of roughness as the  space is 2D.  denotative, connotative and ideological. For denotative, this piece is made up of paint, ink, colored paper and a printout that is collaged and scattered across the sketch paper. The connotative is what this piece actually is, which is modern art collage

The Art of Data Visualization

Image
Watching the video of the art of data visualization, I was kind of amazed by the truth that was being spoken. Data visualization is something we see everyday and to have these few people talk to their audience with such passion about it, the audience then starts to learn and gain their insights.  As said in the video, the art of the data means nothing if it is not speaking the truth; it can't turn lies into truth just because it is pretty and looks pleasing to the eye. I also loved how they said we need more individuals to learn instead of confirm when looking at data visuals because they're teaching people to go beyond what they believe their limits to be. As the art and the data intertwine on whether it's a spreadsheet or excel, the truth of it's goodness comes to surface and that is something to be happy about, not how pretty it looks. The art of the data must speak with it's words and information that is being delivered to its' audience. I also liked how t
